Family Ties

ImageWhat began as a simple series of guitar lesson grew to a highly productive musical collaboration, creative partnership and profound friendship between Greg Noga and Scott Lamb. Lamb, as the bass player, vocalist and bandmate proved to be irreplaceable and was the solid low-end cornerstone of the bands, Back Alive and Jeri Rigg. Together with Noga, the pair of musicians developed what was often recognized as a 'crazy telepathic communication’ as performers. Each one finely tuned to the other and seemly able to mystically anticipate the others next move, always ready to always step in for support in the case a forgotten lyric or the like. Scott's voices blended so well with Noga's that comparisons to the Everly Brothers and Lennon and McCartney in character and caliber were frequent seemed perfectly reasonable.

Sadly and tragically, in December of 2015, the band lost a bass player, Noga lost his vocal ally and the world lost Scott Lamb. Scott Lamb is missed every day but his legacy stands solidly on the many songs and recordings to which he contributed and in the hearts of the thousands of fans he garnered over the nearly two decades of performing with Noga on the West Coast.

A Note From A Friend

ImageLast time I saw Scott we rode the Santa Cruz roller-coaster backward, arms hooked under the bar, last car, feet dangling out the back of car screaming at top of our lungs down every dip. Scott could put the ‘11’ into fun. It was a dare I couldn't resist. What a magical day. I've always cherished that day with him, and his smile that would light up a room. My heart goes out to Doris and his family.
God-speed and God bless. -- Dena
